The marine suite of National Occupational Standards (NOS),
which is jointly owned by the Merchant Navy Training
Board (MNTB) and the Sea Fish Industry Authority (SFIA),
has been under review during 2005. The final draft NOS
are being prepared for approval by the Industry
Technical Committees before the end of this year.
Following that they will be submitted to the UK
Co-ordinating Group for formal approval by the Education
Regulatory Authorities. You have a final
opportunity to review the NOS and send any relevant
feedback about them, for consideration, prior to the
above.
