In conjunction with the Maritime & Coastguard Agency (MCA), the MNTB has developed new criteria on specifications for approval of training required by the IMO Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping (STCW) as amended in 1995 and the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code 2003 Edition.

The criteria are contained in a series of booklets listed below (click on the highlighted text in the list to view pdf file - this may then be downloaded free of charge).
